Make Time….Your Most Important Relationship As An Entrepreneur
OK, I’ll admit, I am guilty as charged for not using my time wisely….or at least before I realized it’s value.
It took the true essence of the understanding that the level of my success online was dependent on how I used time to allow certain tasks to manifest the reality I desired.
Many people, including me, can spend their days in a frenzy of doing the wrong activity toward building their online business thus achieving very little. Quite simply, this is because the needed concentration is not focused on doing the things that matter the most.
This is clear evidence of the Pareto Principle or the 80:20 Rule.
This rule states that typically 80% of unfocused effort generates only 20% of your results. This means the remaining 80% of your results are achieved with only 20% of the effort.
By understanding the importance of the relationship you have with your time, you can optimize your efforts to ensure your concentration of your energy is not wasted.
If you want to succeed as an online entrepreneur, it is paramount you learn how to properly manage your time. It’s just that important especially if you want to get somewhere with your online business empire.
Remember to keep this mindset: you will NEVER retrieve the time you have spent foolishly it’s just that simple. That wasted time is gone forever.
Time management though is not a subject our formal education system teaches. Time management is a life experiences learned skill.
Today, I have outlined a couple of simple steps that you can do to be able to effectively manage your time.
Work At Your Best

Every person works best during a particular time in the day. Some people are more active in their work if it is during the day, while others are night owls and are more productive during the night.
Determine when you are most productive in your work and try to schedule your work during that time. I recommend saving your most important work during this particular period of time. This will ensure a better output from your efforts.
Organize Yourself

Managing your time requires you to organize your work in a way that you can determine your priorities and when you actually do them.
Remember, you won’t be able to be as productive as possible if you don’t know what work you are supposed to finish first. Just make a list of your workload just to keep you on track.
Learn To Multi-Task

Multi-tasking is a skill that you should learn to do if you want to be able to finish a bunch of work almost at the same time. There will be some times when you will be faced with a workload that is both due at the same date or time and you will need to finish them both.
Learn to do multiple tasks at the same time, however make sure that the quality of your work is not sacrificed. It is useless to know how to multi-task if the the output is not up to par.
Work Fast
One key skill that will help you perform better and manage your time quicker is to learn how to process information and translate that information into action as quickly as possible. Don’t wait for your work to pile up as this will only stress you out more which will affect the quality of your work decisions.
Learn To Schedule

As an entrepreneur, you should learn how to manage your time with everybody, including your clients, partners, downline and whoever you may interact with.
Scheduling appointments and meetings can help you organize what you need to do better.
Also set a time and day for you to check your email and keep in mind that you don’t need to immediately respond to every email you receive but do take the time to read and respond to them.
